Jasper County Jail Strengthens Inmate Care With Addition of New Nurse

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office has announced the addition of a new jail nurse, bringing expanded medical and mental health support to the Jasper County Jail.
Stephanie Redd Thomas of Kirbyville has joined the jail’s medical staff and will be responsible for providing healthcare services to individuals incarcerated at the facility. In addition to medical care, Thomas will work closely with professionals from Spindletop to assist in supporting inmates’ mental health needs.
“We take the health and safety of our inmates very serious and we are proud to have her join our team,” said Sheriff Chuck Havard.
Thomas is a lifelong resident of Kirbyville and brings more than 20 years of experience in the correctional field to her new role. She is married to her husband, Cornelius, and is the mother of two daughters.
The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office congratulated Thomas on her new position and expressed confidence in her experience and professionalism as she joins the jail’s medical team.
