JASPER COUNTY, Texas — Jasper County residents may notice the Sheriff’s Office inmate roster is temporarily unavailable. Sheriff Chuck Havard announced Monday that the county’s inmate feed is currently inactive due to a statewide transition in the provider for Texas Victim Notification Services.
The state is moving away from the long-standing VINE system and migrating to the new IVSS/Sylogist platform. As a result, the Sheriff’s Office and other agencies across Texas are working to transfer data and restore public access.
“At this time, we don’t have an exact completion date, but our team is collaborating closely with state and local partners to restore the jail feed as quickly as possible,” Havard said.
The Sheriff’s Office emphasized that staff are available to assist during the outage.
“Please contact us if you have any questions about who’s in our custody or about your case,” Havard added. “We are working on resolving this issue as quickly as possible.”
Victims seeking custody updates or related services are encouraged to visit the Texas Attorney General’s Office website or contact the Sheriff’s Office directly at (409) 384-2411. Sheriff Havard said his team will continue to assist the public by answering questions and confirming custody status until the system is fully restored.
“We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we work through this transition,” Havard said.
