Jasper County ESD 4 Fire Academy Announces Informational Meeting for 2026 Enrollment

Jasper County ESD 4 Fire Academy, in partnership with the City of Jasper and the Deep East Texas College and Career Academy (DETCCA), has officially announced an informational meeting for its upcoming firefighter training program. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
The session will take place at the Deep East Texas College and Career Academy, located at 450 Bulldog Avenue, Jasper, Texas, in the fire academy classroom within the north building.
The Fire Academy is currently accepting applications for the next training cohort, which will begin on March 10, 2026. Enrollment is open to individuals interested in pursuing a career in fire service and obtaining a Basic Structure Firefighter Certification through the Texas Commission on Fire Protection.
The mandatory informational meeting will cover important topics such as:
Course costs and registration
Training requirements and schedule
Program expectations
A Q&A session with instructors
