Jasper County arrested a man for felony cruelty to animals

Kirbyville, Tx- On Saturday, March 1 at approximately 10:57 AM, a Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputy was deployed to the 400 block of W. Lavert St. in Kirbyville in search of a wanted fugitive with a felony warrant for Cruelty to Non- Livestock Animals (F2).


The deputy arrived at the location and located the fugitive, Julian Torres, 68, of Kirbyville. Mr. Torres was wanted for an incident from October 9th, 2024 where he was accused of beating a dog with a stick. Mr. Torres was arrested and brought to the Jasper County Jail.


Mr. Torres is innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
