Heather Moye Promoted to Jail Sergeant at Jasper County Sheriff’s Office

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office has announced the promotion of Heather Moye to Jail Sergeant at the Jasper County Jail, effective immediately.
Sergeant Moye has been employed with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office for three years and brings more than 14 years of public safety experience to her new leadership role. Her background includes five years in corrections and nine years in emergency dispatching, where she also served in a supervisory capacity as a Dispatch Supervisor.
According to Sheriff Chuck Havard, Sergeant Moye has consistently demonstrated strong leadership skills, particularly in high-stress situations.
“Sergeant Moye is an outstanding public safety professional,” Havard said. “Her commitment to service, professionalism, and accountability is second to none.”
In her new role, Sergeant Moye will be responsible for supervising jail operations and ensuring accountability among both staff and inmates. Sheriff Havard noted that her experience and determination make her well-suited for the position.
“She is very deserving of this promotion and has the experience and determination to hold our employees and inmates accountable,” Havard said. “She will continue to do a great job for this office and the citizens of Jasper County.”
Sergeant Moye is married to her husband, Stewart, and they have one daughter.
