A new name in healthcare is making a big impact across Southeast Texas — and it’s now serving the Jasper community with both in-clinic and mobile services aimed at treating the whole person, not just the condition.
Priority Wound Care & Wellness, founded by Nurse Practitioner Shalonda Jacobs in November 2023, is the latest addition to the Jasper-Lake Sam Rayburn Area Chamber of Commerce. Built on a foundation of faith, compassion, and clinical excellence, the company has quickly grown into a trusted provider of advanced wound care and wellness services across more than a dozen Texas counties.
“We believe every patient deserves not only expert treatment, but care delivered with heart,” said Jacobs, who established the practice with a vision to restore health, promote wellness, and share Christ’s love through every interaction.

With convenient clinic locations in Jasper, Houston, Nederland, and Beaumont, and mobile health teams ready to bring care directly to patients’ homes, Priority Wound Care is bridging critical gaps in access — particularly in rural and underserved areas.
Specialties include:
Advanced wound care (pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, diabetic wounds, burns, venous/arterial ulcers, and more)
Lymphedema therapy and management
Primary care and wellness
Transitional care for patients recovering at home
Compassionate mobile care services
For patients recovering from surgery, managing chronic illness, or facing mobility challenges, Priority Wound Care’s team provides in-home visits with the same level of professionalism and attention you’d expect from a traditional clinic — all while preserving the patient’s comfort and dignity.
Their approach blends cutting-edge clinical methods with old-school bedside manner — something many rural residents say is hard to find these days.
Jacobs’ deep roots in Southeast Texas and her commitment to faith-based, whole-person care have helped fuel the company’s growth. “We’re proud to be here in Jasper,” she said. “This is personal for us. Our goal is to make high-quality care more accessible than ever.”
The Jasper-Lake Sam Rayburn Area Chamber of Commerce welcomed Priority Wound Care & Wellness as a new member this month, signaling strong community support for the vital services they’re bringing to the region.
