Grass fire threatened structures temporarily

At 12:49 PM Tuesday, East End Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a residence on County Road 294, just off Steer Stadium Road.

Upon arrival, units found a small trash pile that had gotten out of control and was spreading towards the wood line and electrical high line. Shortly after arrival, crews had the fire under control.

East End responded with 2 Brush Trucks and 5 personnel.
