Free 8-Week Carpentry Training Kicks Off October 6 in Jasper — Sign Up Today!

JASPER, Texas — Looking for a new career or wanting to build valuable skills without the burden of tuition? A FREE 8-week carpentry training program begins Monday, October 6 in Jasper, giving participants the chance to gain hands-on experience and nationally recognized certification — all at no cost.

The training will be held on site at Gated Rentals, 1745 Hwy 63 East, Jasper, and is designed to prepare individuals for success in the construction and carpentry field. Students will learn:

• Basic Framing

• Roof & Wall Systems

• Basic Stairs & Floor Systems

• Building Envelope & Construction Plans

This program includes NCCER Core and Level 1 certification, a major stepping stone for anyone interested in pursuing construction careers.

“This is a chance for people in our community to get real training, on-site experience, and credentials that can lead directly into the workforce — all completely free,” said program organizers.

The training is being offered by Lamar State College Port Arthur, in partnership with Associated Builders and Contractors of Southeast Texas and Gated Rentals Home Assembly, LLC.
