Former Student Returns as Buna High Campus Officer

BUNA, Texas — Buna ISD welcomed one of its own back home this week as Officer Ray Hawk was officially sworn in to serve as the new campus officer at Buna High School.

Judge Mark Allen administered the oath during a special ceremony, with Chief Chase on hand to help make the occasion possible.

Hawk, himself a former Buna ISD student, will now be serving in a role dedicated to keeping today’s students safe.

District officials shared their gratitude for his willingness to serve, calling it a proud homecoming for the school community.

“Welcome home, Officer Hawk!” the district posted, alongside photos of the swearing-in.
