Former ‘Lone Star Law’ Game Warden Justin Eddins Turns Himself In at Jasper County Jail

JASPER COUNTY, Texas — Former Texas Parks & Wildlife Game Warden and Lone Star Law television personality Justin Charles Eddins, 47, turned himself in to authorities at the Jasper County Jail early Wednesday morning, according to Chuck Havard.
Sheriff Havard confirmed that on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Eddins surrendered at the jail in connection with recently returned felony indictments.
Eddins is charged with the following offenses, all third-degree felonies:
False Statement to Obtain Property or Credit ($30,000 to $150,000)
Harvesting Standing Timber ($20,000 to $100,000)
Tampering or Fabricating Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair
According to the sheriff, Eddins’ bonds totaled $100,000, which were posted by his attorney, Bill Morian of the Morian and Kahla Law Firm.
Ongoing Investigation
Sheriff Havard stated that the investigation is being conducted by the Texas Rangers, and all inquiries should be directed to their office at (936) 699-7340.
Case Background
As previously reported by East Texas Banner, a Jasper County grand jury returned three felony indictments against Eddins during the January 2026 grand jury term. The Jasper County cases are in addition to previously reported felony indictments in San Augustine and Sabine counties involving alleged false statements to obtain credit.
Legal Status
All charges remain allegations only. Eddins is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. Each case remains pending in district court.
