JASPER, Texas — Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is expanding its reach into Deep East and Southeast Texas, forming a new territory that stretches from Lufkin to Lumberton, according to FCA representative Kenny Rawls.
The organization is hosting a community prayer and vision meeting on:
Thursday, November 6
6:00 PM
First Methodist Church – Jasper, Texas
Rawls says the goal is to connect local churches, schools, coaches, and students with FCA’s mission — strengthening student leadership through faith and mentorship in athletics.
According to FCA’s 2026 vision outline, the expanded Deep East Texas area includes 53 school campuses and more than 33,000 coaches and student athletes across the new territory. FCA’s plan includes launching student-led “Huddle” groups, creating coaches’ Bible studies, and hosting more than 30 Fields of Faith events across the region beginning in 2026.
The vision report states:
“God has given us the goal to have a student Huddle on each campus, a coaches Bible study on each campus, and over 30 Fields of Faith evangelistic events. … FCA needs to be where coaches and athletes practice, compete, and gather.”
FCA refers to this initiative as entering the “Era of Every” — reaching every coach and every athlete with faith-based support and leadership opportunities.
The group is currently seeking local involvement and financial support to grow staff and programs within the new service area. Rawls, who is based in Newton County, encourages the public to attend the November 6 meeting to learn more.
