Fatal Crash Shuts Down Highway 63 Near County Road 32; DPS Investigating

A tragic crash that claimed two lives is under investigation after a vehicle carrying an adult and two children left the roadway late Tuesday morning.
The crash occurred around 11:30 a.m. on County Road 32 off State Highway 63 West, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS). The adult driver was pronounced dead at the scene. One of the children was transported to a nearby hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries. The condition of the second child remains unknown at this time.
DPS troopers, emergency crews, and law enforcement quickly responded to the scene, which stayed closed as authorities worked to piece together the circumstances surrounding the crash.

East Texas Banner was on the scene as first responders secured the area and traffic was rerouted along Highway 63 West near the crash site. No information has yet been released regarding the identity of the victims or what may have caused the crash.
