Evadale Students Shine at Texas Rice Festival Art Contest, Bringing Home Six Awards

EVADALE, Texas — Evadale ISD is celebrating a strong showing at this year’s Texas Rice Festival Art Contest, where local students brought home six awards across multiple age divisions.

Out of thirteen entries submitted by Evadale students, six were recognized for their creativity and artistic talent — a proud moment for the Rebels’ art program.

Age Division 11–14

• 1st Place – Aubree Sherwin

• 2nd Place – John Floyd

• 3rd Place – Hailey Kordie

• Honorable Mention – Maddi Davis

Age Division 15–17

• 3rd Place – Peyton Spoonemore

• Honorable Mention – Abigail Freeman
