Local First Responders Rally for Texas Hill Country Flood Relief — BBQ Fundraiser Set for This Friday

When disaster strikes, Texans step up — and this Friday, local first responders are doing just that.
In response to the devastating flooding in the Texas Hill Country, emergency crews from across Jasper and Newton Counties are coming together to support their fellow first responders who are facing an overwhelming recovery effort after the historic floods.
What: First Responder Flood Relief Drive & BBQ Fundraiser
When: Friday, July 18, 2025 — Starting at 10 AM - until sold out!
Where: DuGood Federal Credit Union, 1061 South Wheeler Street, Jasper, TX
(Intersection of US Hwy 190 & 96 — Drive-thru format recommended: enter via Hwy 96 at Cole St., exit via Hwy 190.)
For just $10, you’ll receive:
Choice of chopped beef or pulled pork sandwich.
Bag of chips.
Cookie (donated by the amazing Beech Grove Baptist Church family).
Bottle of water.

Text your order to 409-489-8460 — include sandwich type, quantity, delivery address, and preferred time. Volunteers will do their best to deliver on time!
Donation Information
All fundraiser supplies have been donated, meaning 100% of the proceeds go directly to first responder organizations in the flood-ravaged Texas Hill Country — specifically for equipment replacement, facility repairs, and continuous emergency response support.
Monetary donations are being accepted now and on the day of the event.

The floods in the Texas Hill Country have destroyed homes, claimed lives, and strained emergency response systems. Though agencies there are currently well-stocked on supplies and personnel, they’re in critical need of financial support to sustain round-the-clock operations and begin recovery.
This fundraiser is East Texas' chance to answer the call.
