Early Morning Crash Reported on Dam B Bridge

JASPER COUNTY, TX — Emergency crews responded to a reported vehicle accident early Saturday morning on the Dam B bridge along U.S. Highway 190.

At approximately 2:29 a.m., the Beech Grove Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, units found a late-model Ford passenger car on the side of the roadway with extensive front-end damage.
According to officials, the driver of the Ford stated he was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was not injured in the crash.

The driver reported that he rear-ended another vehicle that was stopped at the traffic signal. He further stated that the driver of the other vehicle left the scene shortly after the collision and prior to the arrival of public safety personnel.
The accident was investigated by the Texas Department of Public Safety - Southeast Texas Region and the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office - TX.

The damaged vehicle was removed from the scene by Jasper Xxon Towing And Recovery.
Beech Grove VFD responded with units B11, B12, E11, along with eight firefighters.
