BUNA-EVADALE, TX-
At 12:44 am early Monday morning, Jasper County Dispatch received a call regarding a 2016 Kenworth truck carrying a load of wooden pallets that had overturned, spilling it's load across the southbound lanes of US Highway 96 near County Road 791 between Buna and Evadale.
The Department of Public Safety Media Sergeant Shana Clark said that the driver, 66-year-old Winston Kibbles of Buna, was traveling south on Hwy 96 when he left the road to the left to avoid striking several dogs that entered the roadway. When he attempted to re-enter the highway, the truck
overturned, spilling the load and blocking traffic for some time.
Kibbles was reportedly uninjured in the accident.
