At 8:30 Wednesday morning, a driver from Fred was traveling on FM 92 near Silsbee when she made a u-turn in the path of an oncoming vehicle.

The Texas Department of Public Safety Media Sergeant Shana Clark said, "The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 8:30 a.m., a Ford F-150 was traveling south and pulled to the shoulder to make a U-turn. It is reported that the driver of the Ford turned in front of a Chevrolet Silverado, which was also traveling south and was struck. After impact, the Chevrolet traveled off the road, struck a fence and overturned."
The driver of the Ford, identified as 64-year-old Lori Valentine of Fred, and one adult passenger, were not injured.
The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 20-year-old Savannah Doggett of Silsbee, was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
A witness, Neta Evans of Spurger saw the event unfold. On scene, she said, "A dually truck was doing a u-turn in the middle of 92 and the young girl in the other pick-up truck tried to miss her and went off the highway and struck a tree. Her truck rolled multiple times before it came to a stop. The young girl walked away when the truck came to a stop. So far she only has scratches and is shook up."
As reported, Doggett was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
