DPS: Jasper Man Injured in FM 1005 Single-Vehicle Crash Sunday Evening

JASPER COUNTY – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers investigated a crash on Farm-to-Market Road 1005, near County Road 339, that occurred Sunday, November 2, 2025.

The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 6:12 p.m., a 2022 Dodge Ram pickup was traveling southwest around a curve and traveled off the road to the right, where he struck several small trees.

The driver, identified as 28-year-old Korey Valka of Jasper, was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
