DPS: Driver Failed to Yield, Causing Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 96 Near Buna

The Texas Department of Public Safety has released details regarding a crash on U.S. Highway 96 near County Road 639 that occurred Saturday, December 13, 2025, at approximately 5:40 p.m.
According to DPS, a Chevrolet Impala was traveling northbound on U.S. 96 when a Chevrolet Silverado pulled from a private drive and failed to yield, resulting in a collision.
The driver of the Impala, 32-year-old Redrick Adams of Kirbyville, and his passenger were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Silverado, 53-year-old Sharon Sturrock of Buna, was also transported with non-life-threatening injuries. Her passenger was not injured.
