Double wide suffered heavy damage to the rear

Just after 2 p.m. Wednesday, the Kirbyville Volunteer Fire Department was called out to assist Trout Creek VFD in fighting a structure fire located at 3715 FM 2460 in Bon Wier.

Kirbyville 2nd Assistant Chief Jeromy Richardson said, "Trout Creek made a quick response and stopped the fire from spreading But the house had a good bit of damage to the back. We arrived and provided manpower and water and worked on putting out hotspots".

The cause of the blaze is currently unknown.
