Deputies Secure Loose Horse Along FM 1745 in Chester

CHESTER, Texas — Tyler County Sheriff’s Deputies, with assistance from the county Stockman, responded to a report of a loose horse near Russell Creek on FM 1745 the morning of September 28, 2025.


According to Sheriff Bryan Weatherford, deputies were able to safely secure the animal and transport it to the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office, where it is currently being held.


The horse is described as a beige bay mustang with a star marking on its forehead, a white patch on its belly, and white markings on all four feet.


Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating the horse’s owner. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office at (409) 283-2172.
