Deputies Arrest Lufkin Woman for Injury to a Child in Jasper

JASPER, Texas — A Lufkin woman has been arrested in Jasper County following an investigation into the alleged assault of a 14-year-old.
According to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, Sgt. Chris Wade and Deputy Spivey were dispatched on August 13, 2025, to the 400 block of Dorgan Drive in Jasper for a reported assault. Deputies learned that the incident had occurred the previous day and involved Tina Wiesinger, 51, of Lufkin.
During their on-scene investigation, deputies observed bruising on the child’s arm. Authorities say Wiesinger was intoxicated at the time, and deputies feared the potential for future family violence.
Wiesinger was arrested on a charge of Injury to a Child – 3rd Degree Felony and transported to the Jasper County Jail.
Wiesinger is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
Sheriff Chuck Havard said he and his staff remain committed to combating criminal activity and protecting residents throughout Jasper County.
