DAM B, Texas — Multiple volunteer fire departments responded Wednesday morning to a garage fire that was already fully engulfed when units arrived, according to Dam B Volunteer Fire Department officials.

Dam B VFD reported that the call came in shortly after 9:00 AM on FM 92 near County Road 4096. Six Dam B volunteers responded with one pumper, a tanker, and two brush trucks. Upon arrival, crews found the detached garage heavily involved, with flames extending through the structure and thick smoke drifting across the property.

Mutual aid was immediately requested. Spurger VFD posted at 9:15 AM that they were en route to assist Dam B with a shed fire. Beech Grove VFD later confirmed at 9:51 AM that they were also on scene assisting with the structure fire south of US 190.

Firefighters worked together to contain the blaze, prevent further spread, and manage water supply along the rural stretch of FM 92. Photos from the scene show multiple engines and brush trucks lined along the roadway as crews battled heavy smoke conditions.

No injuries have been reported at this time. The cause of the fire has not yet been released.

Officials remind drivers to slow down and proceed with caution when approaching active emergency scenes, especially along narrow rural roads.
