BEECH GROVE, Texas — The community is grieving the tragic loss of 11-year-old Karsyn Slaydon, who passed away Tuesday evening following a UTV accident.
Karsyn is remembered as a bright, kindhearted boy whose smile lit up every room. Friends and neighbors describe him as full of life, with a love for the outdoors and a personality that touched everyone who knew him.
In the wake of this heartbreaking loss, friends of the family have set up a GoFundMe to help cover funeral expenses and to provide ongoing support for Karsyn’s parents, John and Jodi Slaydon, and his younger sister, Kylynn. Organizers shared that the Slaydon family has been a source of love and friendship to so many in the community, and this is a chance to show that same love back during their time of need.
“All money will go directly to John and Jodi, and any remaining funds will be given to little sister Kylynn,” the fundraiser states. “Anything is appreciated, but most of all, your prayers.”
As of Wednesday evening, the fundraiser has already seen an outpouring of support, with donations quickly approaching its goal.
