ZAVALLA, Texas — The City of Zavalla has announced that a burn ban is now in effect as of 8:34 a.m. Friday, October 3, 2025.
The ban prohibits outdoor burning within the city limits until further notice. Officials cited ongoing dry conditions and an increased risk of wildfires as the reason for the precaution.
Residents are urged to follow the order and exercise caution with any activity that could spark a fire. Violating a burn ban can result in fines, and local officials stress that cooperation is key to preventing dangerous wildfires.
The City thanked residents for their cooperation and emphasized that the ban will remain in place until conditions improve.
