Burn Ban Update

Most local counties have dropped burn bans due to the recent weather conditions.

Orange, Newton and Tyler Counties have all lifted their burn bans, so far without consequence. Jasper County thus far has not.

Jasper County Judge Mark Allen said, "For the moment Jasper County is still under a burn ban with an expected expiration date at the end of November 21st. However, if conditions continue to improve and our drought and fire danger diminishes further, we have the possibility of moving out of a burn ban sooner."
