A Buna woman was arrested Monday night after authorities confirmed she was wanted on a felony theft warrant involving a stolen Ford Bronco that had already been recovered in Jasper County.
According to the Jasper County Sheriff's Office, deputies were notified at approximately 8:30 p.m. on January 5, 2026, by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office that a wanted individual was believed to be located at a residence in the 400 block of Gandy Road in Buna.
Harris County authorities advised that a felony theft warrant had been issued for Amanda Renee Wilson, 43, of Buna, in connection with a stolen Ford Bronco. The vehicle had been recovered by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office at the Gandy Road location the previous week.
At approximately 10:00 p.m., Deputy Roy located Wilson at her residence and confirmed the active warrant. She was taken into custody without incident and arrested on a charge of Felony Theft of Property valued at $30,000 or more but less than $150,000, a felony offense issued out of Harris County District Court 4936. No bond had been set at the time of her arrest.
Wilson was transported to the Jasper County Jail.
As with all criminal cases, Wilson is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
Sheriff Chuck Havard said his office remains committed to working with partner agencies to combat criminal activity and locate wanted individuals throughout Jasper County.
