As we reported yesterday, the Jasper County Sheriff's Office was asking for the public's assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in a Buna Tractor Supply theft. As of 9:00 this morning, the suspect was identified. Before long, he was located and arrested.

This morning, Jasper County Lieutenant Jason McLelland was able to identify the theft suspect as 49-year-old Jeremy Todd Gore, of Louisiana. Lieutenant McLelland immediately began obtaining an arrest warrant for Gore’s arrest and alerted law enforcement in East Louisiana, specifically the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office.
At 11:15 a.m. today, Detective Jake Trahan with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office noticed a car matching the description of Gore’s at the EZ Mart in Starks, Louisiana. Detective Trahan approached Gore and was able to arrest him without incident. Gore was then transported to the Calcasieu Parish Jail. Chief Deputy Larry Pulliam is currently en route to Louisiana at this time to bring Gore back to Jasper County to face his theft charge.
As always, Gore is considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court law.
Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard said, "I want to thank Lieutenant Jason McLelland for his professionalism and his initiative in quickly identifying this suspect. Additionally, we would like to thank Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Stitch Guillory and his staff, especially Detective Jake Trahan for assisting us."
