Buna resident won $1,000,000 in the Texas Lotto scratch off game 'Platinum Millions'

Valero, or Hwy 96 Fuel Stop in Buna has just announced that they sold a $1 million dollar lottery ticket to a resident of the tiny town.

Store Manager Skylar Earhart said, "We don't know who the winner is yet, but we are super excited to have been the store to sell it. All we really know is that it was one of our regulars and it was sold last Friday morning. The winner has already cashed it out. We're trying to figure out who sold the ticket too. The store gets I think 5% of the winnings, but I don't know for sure. It's really neat that someone from here won. It's not something that commonly happens".

According to the press release, "A Buna resident claimed a top prize winning ticket worth $1 million in the Texas Lottery® scratch ticket game Platinum Millions. The ticket was purchased at Hwy 96 Fuel Stop, located at 35024 Highway 96 S., in Buna. The claimant elected to remain anonymous. This was the first of four top prizes worth $1 million to be claimed in this game. Platinum Millions offers more than $115 million in total prizes. Overall odds of winning any prize in the game are one in 3.66,

including break-even prizes."
