TOWN BLUFF, TX-
Tyler County Deputies patrolling in the Town Bluff area on June 19th at approximately 11:00 pm, stopped a passenger vehicle on FM 92 at County Road 4410 for a traffic violation.
The driver told deputies that his name was Norman Wade Johnson, but could not provide deputies with any proof of his identification.
Because of the suspicious nature of the identification, deputies checked with local and surrounding areas law enforcement communication divisions. Before long, they were able identify him as 62-year-old Norman Wade Sheard of Buna, from a photograph obtained from a previous arrest in Jasper County.
Once a proper identification was made, it was discovered that Sheard had an active warrant for his arrest out of Hardin County for a Probation Violation/Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.
During a vehicle Sheard, deputies discovered a clear plastic baggie containing Methamphetamine.
Sheard was arrested and transported to the Tyler County Jail.
Sheard was charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance "7 grams of Meth", Felony Probation Violation, and Failure to identify. Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 Tina Self set Sheard's bonds which totaled $165,000.00.
