BUNA, TX-
It's Friday, June 13th...
This morning, Jasper County Dispatch began receiving repeated abusive and profane phone calls.
Apparently, the caller was unaware that any 911 call has a location attached to it and at approximately 10:00 am, a Deputy was dispatched to that address, 135 Pine St. in Cougar Country.
Once the Deputy arrived, he identified the suspect as 46-year-old Alvis Lee Edmonds of Buna.
When the Deputy attempted to place Edmonds under arrest, he began resisting arrest and had to be tased. Edmunds was finally placed under arrest and was charged with Silent or Abusive Phone Calls to 911 and Resisting Arrest. He was then transported to the Jasper County Jail.
Remember, Edmonds is considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
