Buna Man Arrested for Parole Violation on Indecency With a Child Charges

BUNA, TX-

A Buna man was arrested early Wednesday morning for a Parole Violation on an original charge of Indecency With a Child.

At 6:30 this morning, the Jasper County Sheriff's Office assisted the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force in arresting the wanted fugitive, 25-year-old Bronson Crites of Buna. Crites was arrested at his home in Buna without incident and transported to the Jasper County Jail.

According to court registration documents, Crites was originally arrested on March 9, 2017 on a charge Indecency With a Child by Sexual Contact. The child was 9-years-old at the time. He was convicted in 2018 on that charge. Then on May 10, 2022 Crites was again arrested for Failure to Comply with sex Offender Registration. His arrest this morning was an additional charge for Failure to Register.

Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard reminds the public that suspects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
