Jasper County, Texas — The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is celebrating a major win for local children after raising $16,235 during the JCSO Association Golf Tournament, an event held to support the department’s annual Blue Santa program.

Sheriff Chuck Havard said Southeast Texas residents showed up in full force for the tournament, helping ensure that Jasper County children in need will have gifts under the tree this Christmas.

“I’m happy to report that we will be bringing $16,235 back home to Jasper County. Every penny will be spent on providing Christmas gifts for less fortunate children in Jasper County,” Sheriff Havard said.

Havard extended special appreciation to Dr. Ray Callas, Jared Bishop, and Texla Equipment, whose generosity and hands-on involvement played a key role in the tournament’s success.

The Sheriff also expressed gratitude to the people of Jasper County and Southeast Texas for their ongoing support of the Sheriff’s Office and its mission.

“We are very grateful for the people of Jasper County and Southeast Texas for their support of our office,” Havard added.

The Blue Santa program remains one of the most impactful initiatives led by the Sheriff’s Office, providing Christmas joy to children who might otherwise go without. The funds raised from the golf tournament will be used to purchase toys and gifts ahead of the holiday distribution.

For local families, donors, and businesses who continue to support Blue Santa, Sheriff Havard said the message is simple: your generosity makes Christmas happen for Jasper County kids.
