Just after 4 pm Monday evening, the Department of Public Safety was called out to a one-vehicle accident on FM 363, near Private Road 5425 just inside the Newton County line.
DPS Media Sergeant Shana Clark said, "The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 4:15 p.m., a 2002 Ford F-350 was traveling west. It is reported that the pickup suffered a blow out on its front right tire and caused the driver to lose control. This caused the pickup to travel into the north ditch where it overturned and struck a tree."
The driver, identified as 18-year-old Logan Wood of Call, was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
