Yesterday morning at 11:52 a.m., the Newton County Sheriff’s Office, alongside members of the U.S. Marshals Service, went to a residence in the 300 block of County Road 3125 in Deweyville to serve a felony arrest warrant.
Newton County Sheriff Colton Havard said that upon arrival, deputies made contact with 36-year-old Branton Amos Monceaux, who was wanted by Texas Pardon and Parole for a parole violation and by Orange County for possession of a controlled substance.
Monceaux was taken into custody without incident and transported him to the Newton County Jail where he is being held without bond.
