JASPER COUNTY, Texas – Emergency response in Jasper County is set to reach new heights this fall. Allegiance Mobile Health, in partnership with PHI Air Medical, has announced plans to launch air medical services beginning in November 2025, with additional bases slated for early 2026.
The announcement was shared by Daniel Gillespie, President of Allegiance Mobile Health, who described the move as a “major step forward” for the region’s emergency care network.

Allegiance has appointed Matt Schneider to lead the air medical division. Schneider brings over 15 years of experience in air medicine and will also serve as Chief of EMS for Allegiance’s 911 ground operations in Jasper, Newton, and Tyler Counties.
“This leadership structure will ensure our patients receive seamless care whether by ground or air,” Gillespie said.
Through a cooperative agreement, PHI Air Medical will provide aviation operation support, including pilots, aircraft maintenance, billing, and specialized training. Gillespie credited PHI’s professionalism and expertise, calling the partnership a critical part of the program’s success.
“This collaboration ensures that the highest level of clinical quality and safety is built into every response,” he added.
Allegiance Mobile Health is currently recruiting flight medics, flight nurses, and helicopter pilots to join the new program:
The program is expected to expand critical care access in rural communities where every minute counts during an emergency.
