A herd of deer to blame for last night's wreck south of Buna

Saturday night at around 8:19 pm, two vehicles crashed while trying to avoid deer on Hwy 96, near County Road 721 South of Buna,
The Department of Public Safety Media Sergeant Shana Clark said, "The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 8:19 p.m., a 2016 Jeep Cherokee was traveling south in the inside lane, while a 2024 Dodge Ram was traveling south in the outside lane. It is reported that multiple deer entered the roadway, causing the drivers to take evasive action and strike one another."
The driver of the Jeep, identified as 27-year-old Morgan White of Webster, was not injured.
The driver of the Dodge, identified as 61-year-old Tracy Brown of Buna, was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
