Lower chances are forecast Tuesday and Wednesday across Southeast Texas as upper-level high pressure temporarily builds into our area.
Thursday and Friday, upper-level disturbances will move into our area and interact with moisture and daytime heating. A 40% coverage is forecast each days with highs in the lower 90s.
Saturday, an inverted trough will result in another 40% coverage of mainly afternoon showers and thunderstorms with highs in the lower 90s.
Lower chances are forecast Sunday and Monday due to the sea breeze with a 30% coverage and highs in the lower 90s.
The Gulf looks quiet the next seven days despite the activity in the rest of the Atlantic Basin.

Activity in the Tropics has certainly increased now that we're in August. Dexter is outbound so, no issues expected.
The disturbance off the SE Coast has a low chance, but may affect the SE U.S. and the disturbance in the far Eastern Atlantic will probably curve north. So, things look quiet for the most part in the gulf the next several days.
