Hot and dry start to the week
Rain chances hold off until Friday and into the weekend.

Today through Wednesday, upper-level high pressure builds over the area which means mostly sunny, hot and humid conditions with highs rising into the middle to upper 90's. The heat index or "feels like" temperatures will be between 105 and 108. Take care if you are working or playing outdoors in the afternoon heat.

Late Thursday through Sunday of a surge of tropical moisture will move out of the gulf and into the Texas Coast. This will give us a good chance of scattered rain and thunderstorms each day. Rain coverages will range between 40 and 50%.
