After a few showers Monday things will heat up and dry out briefly as High pressure aloft (Heat Dome) and drier air work in. By late Thursday moisture will begin increasing from the east as a trough of Low pressure moves west across the northern Gulf into SE Louisiana. At this time upper level winds are only marginally favorable for development. Regardless moisture levels will increase late week.

Drier air and High pressure aloft (Heat Dome) will briefly work into the area Tuesday and Wednesday (See top graphic), By late Thursday into Saturday moisture will increase from the east as a weak trough of Low pressure moves into Louisiana (See bottom graphic).
