7 Day Forecast

12News Meteorologist Patrick Vaughn

Patchy fog and warm, humid conditions are forecast overnight with a slight, 20% coverage of showers and thunderstorms mainly for the Lakes Area after about 3 am.

A weak front will push into Southeast Texas Friday warranting a 30 to 40% coverage of showers and thunderstorms. The activity may affect the Lakes Aread early and then move south towards the coast during the afternoon. Highs will be in the middle to upper 80s.

Saturday and Sunday, a little drier air mass will filter into the area due to weak northerly winds. So, we may shave a few degrees off in the mornings with lows in the middle to upper 60s and highs in the middle to upper 80s.

Much of next week looks like summer with partly sunny afternoon, highs near 90 each day and a slight, 20% coverage of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Sound familiar?

Scattered showers, storms are expected Friday across Southeast Texas as a weak front works through the area.

Patchy, fairly dense fog is possible Friday morning across Southeast Texas per latest modeling.
