2-Vehicle Accident Near Buna, Sent Two to St. Elizabeth For Treatment

BUNA, TX-
Monday evening at 7:35 p.m. near Buna, a two-vehicle accident occurred that sent two people to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
The wreck happened on U.S. Highway 96, at the intersection of County Road 731, near Buna. According to the Department of Public Safety Media Sergeant Shana Clark, a Ford Ranger was traveling north on U.S. 96, followed by a Ford F-150. The Ford Ranger slowed to make a right turn onto C.R. 731 and was rear ended by the Ford F-150.
The driver of the Ford Ranger, was identified as 58-year-old Roger Widener of Spring. Widener was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Ford F-150 was identified as 34-year-old Abigail Fenter of Kirbyville. Fenter was also sent to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Fenter had three passengers with her, a 16-year-old, a 14-year-old, and a 7-year-old. The children were not injured in the crash.
