Late night showers and thunderstorms are possible in the Lakes Area otherwise, very warm low temperatures in the middle 70s to around 80 degrees are forecast.

Saturday and Sunday, upper-level high pressure will strengthen a bit so, afternoon highs will climb to around 90 in the Triangle and the lower 90s in the Lakes Area.

Memorial Day, the high will weaken at the same a trough of low pressure pushes a weak cold front into SE Texas. A 20-30% coverage of showers and thunderstorms is forecast.

Much of next week, scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast each day as a series of upper-level disturbances move through the area. Afternoon highs will cool into the middle to upper 80s.
