JASPER, Texas - Workforce Solutions officially opened its new Jasper office Tuesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the former Rowe Elementary School building, marking a new chapter for workforce development services in the community.

The facility is now home to Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas, which provides job placement assistance, training resources and employment support for residents across the region. The building also houses the Southeast Texas Food Bank, bringing multiple essential services under one roof.
Local officials, staff members and community partners attended the event, which included a ribbon cutting, tours of the facility and refreshments for guests. Workforce Solutions representatives said the new location will allow for expanded services and improved accessibility for job seekers and employers in Jasper and surrounding areas.

Officials said the shared space reflects a coordinated approach to supporting residents, noting that workforce development and food assistance are often closely linked for individuals and families working toward long-term stability.
The former Rowe Elementary building, once a hub for education in Jasper, has been repurposed to continue serving the community in a new role.
