The first round of the AJGA Junior at Rayburn Resort presented by the City of Jasper is underway, but severe weather conditions across Southeast Texas led to play being suspended Friday afternoon.
Tournament officials confirmed that approximately 70% of the field completed Round 1 before the suspension. Tournament play is scheduled to resume Saturday morning at 10 a.m. to finish the remainder of the first round, with second-round tee times to follow later in the day.
Despite the stormy setback, several players posted solid early performances and currently sit atop the leaderboard as play paused.
