UPDATE: Crosby Man Identified as Victim in Crash Near Dam B on Wednesday

UPDATE: One passenger identified as, 42-year-old Kendrick Monroe was pronounced deceased by medical professionals at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital Beaumont, following the crash.

JASPER COUNTY – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers are investigating a four-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 190, west of Jasper, that occurred Wednesday, July 23, 2025.

The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 7:47 a.m., a 2019 Nissan Frontier was traveling west on U.S. 190, while a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse, a 2022 Ford Explorer, and a 2022 Dodge Ram pick-up were stopped at a red light in a construction zone on U.S 190. It is reported that the driver of the Nissan had a malfunction in his vehicle, which caused him to strike the rear vehicle stopped at the red light. After striking the rear vehicle, the rear vehicle was then pushed into the other two vehicles waiting at the stop light.

The driver of the Nissan, identified as 41-year-old Robert Ivey of Livingston, was not injured.

The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 44-year-old Deidra Collins of Crosby was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Three passengers, one identified as a juvenile of Crosby was not injured, one identified as 59-year-old Felecia Monroe of Crosby, was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. One passenger identified as, 42-year-old Kendrick Monroe of Crosby, was transported to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment of possible life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Ford, identified as 41-year-old Jessica Jobe of Jasper, was not injured.

The driver of the Dodge, identified as 23-year-old Kason Street of Newton, was not injured.
