Vehicle Fire in Buna

Local driver was in the Buna Jiffy Mart when a Good Samaritan notified that his vehicle was on fire at the gas pumps. Two another good Samaritan’s were able to assist pushing the vehicle clear of the gas pump. Buna Volunteer Fire Dept. came to the rescue extinguishing the vehicle. Unfortunately, the vehicle was a total loss but due to the rapid response of our First Responders there was no lost of life or property damage. Jasper County Sheriff Dept. assisted in scene containment and traffic control. Thank you to the First Responders for their quick response and for everything y’all do!
