August 28 Event Open to Public at Emporium Stage in Woodville
Woodville, TX — August 2025 — Concerned Citizens of Tyler County is hosting a public town hall featuring Rhonda Ward, Republican candidate for Texas Senate District 3, on Thursday, August 28 at 7:00 PM at the Emporium Stage in Woodville.
Originally organized as a debate and candidate forum, the format was adjusted after Representative Trent Ashby declined to attend. The event will now serve as a stop on the Rhonda Ward Town Hall Tour, giving voters in Tyler County the opportunity to hear directly from one of the candidates on the ballot.
The evening will begin with remarks from local conservative leader and former Texas House candidate David Covey, followed by a one-on-one moderated interview with Rhonda Ward in a "fireside chat” conversation. The second half of the event will open to audience Q&A, with community members encouraged to ask questions live or submit them in advance.
“We’re continuing this event in the spirit of open civic engagement,” said Sal Baldovinos, organizer from Concerned Citizens of Tyler County. “Voters deserve the opportunity to hear from candidates directly, especially in a district as large and diverse as Senate District 3.”
The town hall is free and open to the public.
