Trailer carrying a bulldozer overturned near Newton

At around 3:05 pm Wednesday, a one-vehicle crash on state Highway 87, north of Newton, occurred.

DPS Media Sergeant Shana Clark said, "The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 3:05 p.m., a 1992 Chevrolet 5500 pulling a 2021 NKOV flatbed trailer was traveling north. For an unknown reason, the trailer started to sway, which caused the pick-up to travel off the road, which in turn caused the trailer to overturn." 

The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 58-year-old Michael Havard of Newton, was not injured.
