Threat made to Kirbyville HS investigated "not found to be credible"

The Kirbyville School District has put out this statement regarding a report to law enforcement made last night:
"Last night (11/20/2024) law enforcement informed school personnel of a potential threat to Kirbyville HS. Upon investigation by the school, Jasper County Sheriff’s office and Kirbyville PD, the report was not found to be credible. There is an increased law enforcement presence at the school today, and please reach out to the school district and law enforcement if you have any verified information regarding a threat to the schools, students or staff of Kirbyville CISD. Thank you for your support."
